Wow! Check out our Finds!

Wow!  I can't believe we've lived this close to Round Top, TX almost our entire life and have never been.  I definitely feel like I've been cheated!  How could we have not know about this place!!!  Check it out when you can.  They have market in April and October every year.

We found some amazing pieces for the house!  Check them out:
18th Century barn doors from England. We're going to hang these on rails outside the media room!

17th Century Fireplace screen from France to use in the living room!
These are one of my favorites!  18th Century doors from France that our amazing builder is going to turn into a dining room hutch.

We purchased 2 of these.  They are out of a church in France and we are going to replace the mirrors with frosted glass and use them as doors on the kitchen cabinets.

18th Century confessional door out of a church in France.  It is going to be our pantry door!

19th Century window from Italy that we are using in our powder room bath!

I have NO idea where we are going to use all of this stone, but it came off of a 19th Century building that was demoed in St. Louis.  It was a great deal and is absolutely beautiful!!!

We're going to use part of this for the outdoor fireplace mantel!  See below pictures of the building that was demoed in St. Louis that it came from.  Sad it was demoed, but so cool that I was able to salvage it!

We purchased these organ pipes out of a church in France as well as the small doors behind them.  We  are going to use the small doors to build a linen closet in the master bath and I have no clue what we are going to do with the organ pipes.  I just thought they were too unique not to buy!  Stay tuned.....we'll find a place for them!

These are a pair of brackets that will go outside the front door and also 2 window sashes that came out of a schoolhouse in Ohio.  We're going to use these in the master bedroom as uppers to filter in some light.

Mantel Legs for Outdoor Fireplace
Mantel Legs for Indoor Fireplace
A Pair of 19th Century doors out of a Philadelphia law office.  It even had the sign still on the door stating that they were out of the office and would return at a certain time.  Crazy!  We may use these as the front entry doors, but I'm not sure if I'm sold on them yet for the entry.  Regardless, they're beautiful and we'll use them somewhere!

Round Top!

We're in the process of working on the plans to try and design around a massive oak tree.  But now, it's time for some fun!

I'm headed to Round Top, TX with my builder in search of some architectural salvage for the house!  I'm a first-timer at this market, so definitely fearing for my life amongst these pro-antiquers!  I hope I don't get trampled!!!
